After the welcome speech by Ist Vice President Deebas Bickram Shah, on behalf of NMA, the chief guest also handed over the cash of Rs 50,000 to victims of four Nepalese mountaineers died in the avalanche on Mt. Gurja. NMA General Secretary Kul Bahadur Gurung gave presentation on the history and ongoing activities of NMA. One of the founder members, Shambhu Tamang briefly mentioned the history of mountaineering in Nepal and how NMA was established. In the remarks by the chief guest, he conveyed congratulation to NMA for its 45th anniversary and appreciated the role of NMA in the promotion of mountain tourism locally as well as globally. The program ended with the vote of thanks by NMA President Santa Bir Lama.

27 th Advance Mountaineering Course -2018/019 NMA is conducting its regular training program 27 th Advance Mountaineering Course in Kathmandu and Langtang from 17 Dec 2018. The registration form can be received from NMA Secretariat upon the payment of Rs 400. The last date to submit form is 14 Dec 2018. The trainees having completed Basic Mountaineering Course till 2016 will be given priority in the selection process.
