Peak Profile Preparation Committee- 6 March
Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation formed a committee headed by NMA President Ang Tshering Sherpa and Jinesh Sindurakar, CAO of NMA as member secretary to prepare the profile of the all opened 326 peaks and 165 peaks recommended for opening. The committee has the representatives of Deepak Sharma Dahal (Expert), Survey Department, Tourism ministry, Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal, Expedition Operators' Association, Nepal Mountaineering Instructors' Association and Nepal National Mountain Guide Association.
Successful ascent of Mt. Aconcagua-7 March
Seven Summits Women team made successful ascent of Mt Aconcagua on 23rd Feb 2014. Four team members Chunu Shrestha, Nimdoma Sherpa, Asha Kumari Singh and Pema Diki Sherpa reached the summit around 6:15 pm local time. They waved the Nepali flag and the team banner along with the NMA flag on the top of the South American continent.
Weather was the major challenge the team faced. Since their arrival there has not been a single summit window except 23rd Feb. Therefore, the team made summit target in the 9th day of the expedition. They pushed for the summit from Camp II without setting up Camp III as there was no time for that. After 23rd, the weather has been exceptionally worse with lot of snow in the region.
Maya Gurung and Shailee Basnet decided to return from Plaza de Independencia at 6400 m because of the risk of frostbite. Pujan Acharya also decided to join them on their way back.
After the climb, they had a successful event to promote destination Nepal in Argentina organized by Nepal Tourism Board and they are currently Brazil. They will be celebrating the International Women's Day in South America and depart for Nepal.
Three central executive board members nominated- 8 March
Central Executive Board meeting held on 8 March endorsed the proposal by NMA President of nominating three members Mr. Prem Gurung, Mr. Cheban Debkota and Mr. Bimal Naharki for the executive board meeting.
Advisory committee formed- 8 March
Central Executive Board meeting held on 8 March formed the Advisory Committee headed by Ms. Yankila Sherpa as chief advisor. The other members of the committee are as follows:

Felicitation program- 12 March
Nepal National Mountain Guide Association (NNMGA) organized a felicitation and interaction program for the newly elected Central Executive Board of NMA on 12 March at Hotel Manaslu. The program was chaired by NNMGA President Pemba Gyalzen Sherpa. Interaction on the cooperation between two organizations for the production of aspirant mountain guide was also held on the same program. NMA President expressed his readiness for the continuation of cooperation from NMA to NNMGA for the smooth of trainings.
NMA Executive Board's visit to IMM-19 March
NMA's newly elected Executive Board visited International Mountain Museum (IMM) from 16-17 March 2014. On the arrival of 18 March, a meeting with Annapurna Chapter was also held at IMM. The meeting discussed about the cooperation t-alihat can be exchanged for the development of mountain tourism and request for the issuance of climbing permits from IMM for the peaks located Annapurna region.
Visit of Hon'ble Tourism Minister
Hon'ble Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Bhim Prasad Acharya was given warm welcome by NMA President Ang Tshering Sherpa along with other Executive Board Members on 17 March at the premises of IMM. On the same occasion, NMA President and IMM Committee Convener Santa Bir Lama felicitated Hon'ble Minister for his appointment as minister and also wished for the success of his tenure. Hon'ble Minister requested NMA to submit the list of priority works that should be implemented immediately by the ministry and he expressed his readiness to cooperate on this matter.

Central Executive Board Meeting
NMA President Ang Tshering Sherpa chaired the Central Executive Board Meeting conducted at IMM on 17 March. The meeting discussed important issues related with the management of IMM, financial and administrative regulation etc.
Felicitation of NMA Central Executive Board
Pokhara Chapter of Trekking Agencies of Association of Nepal gave a welcome reception for the Central Executive Board on 17 March in Pokhara.
Introductory program organized- 23 March
The introductory program for Advisory Committee and 18 different committees of NMA was organized on 23 March at the premises of NMA. Ang Tshering Sherpa, President of NMA introduced and welcomed all the members of Advisory committee and other committees.
Interaction program- 25 March
NMA organized interaction program on issues related with mountain on 26 March at Nepal Tourism Board in presence of Chief of Tourism Industries Division, expedition operators, international expedition leaders, NMA advisors, and representatives of different tourism related organizations. The interaction program discussed on the following agenda.
