Certificate Distributed- 1 MarchCertificate Distribution program for the participants of Advance Mountaineering Course 2012 was organized at NMA Secretariat in the presence of State Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Dilip Maharjan as the chief guest for the program. The program started with the welcome speech by NMA General Secretary Deebas Bikram Shah. The program was chaired by NMA Ist Vice President Mr. Nima Nuru Sherpa. The chief guest gave away certificates to the trainees and letter of appreciation to the instructors, doctors involved in the training. Twenty-four trainees including two ladies and two foreigners participated in the training program conducted at Kathmandu and Langtang from 10 Jan to 16 Feb 2012. High Mountain Rescue Training (HMRT) completed- 14 MarchThe joint training program of NMA and Nepal Mountaineering Instructors' Association- High Mountain Rescue Training (HMRT) completed on 29 March 2012. The training started from 14 March with the number of participants as eight took place at Kathmandu and Langtang. Peak information booklet to be published -15 MarchNMA has decided to publish booklet containing the relevant information like caravan route, technical difficulty, photos etc of 33 peals managed by NMA. Mt. Chekigo Cleaning Campaign - 15 MarchNMA has signed memorandum of understanding with Mt. Everest Summiteers Club, Rolwaling to conduct cleaning campaign on Mt. Chekigo peak. The date of the cleaning campaign will be finalized soon. Financial assistance for Gokyo Porter Shelter-27 MarchNMA contributed Rs 5 lac to Community Action Nepal for the preliminary construction of Gokyo Porter Shelter. Signboard to be installed- 27 MarchNMA in coordination with Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee (SPCC) is installing fifteen new signboards in different parts of Khumbu region with message on environment conservation. |
