Completion of Monsoon Madness Lead Climbing Competition -2 June 2018

Nepal Mountaineering Association organized Monsoon Madness Climbing Competition 5th National Bouldering competition to promote sport climbing activities in Nepal. The competition was held on 1sst and 2nd June 2018 at Kathmandu Sport Climbing Center,Paknajol.
Mr Sambhu Tamang was the chief guest for the program. Result of the program is as follows.

Celebration of World Environment Day 2018

Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) organized tree plantation program at its' International Memorial Park (IMMP), Kakani on 5 June to mark World Environment Day 2018 with the slogan of Beat Plastic Pollution. The chief guest for the program was Hon'ble Minister for Water Supply and Sanitation Bina Magar. The chief guest also laid the foundation stone for the construction of memorial pillar of Everest summiteer Late Prakah Dahal. In the program, NMA President Santa Bir Lama highlighted the problem in carrying development programs at IMMP and requested the chief guest to initiate for the process to handover the authority of land to NMA. The chief guest also assured her full support to NMA for the smooth implementation of programs in the park.

  

NMA Participation at Asian Cup 2018 - 12 June

NMA organized a flag handover program on 12th June 2018 at NMA Secretariat to the participants of Asian Cup that will be held at Bangkok from 15-17 June 2018. Panchamaya Tamang, and Bhim Bahadur Tamang will participate in this competition.

After participating at Asian Cup 2018 from 15-17 June 2018 they are back to Kathmandu on 18th June 2018.

  

Flag handover to Mingma David Sherpa- 13 June

NMA handed over NMA flag to its Executive Board Member Mingma Daiv Sherpa on 13 June 2018 at NMA Secretariat. Mr. Sherpa is leaving for his expedition to Mt. K2. NMA President Santa Bir Lama along with the member of Peak Profile preparation Committee member were present during the program.

NMA organized a press conference to inform about 39th Basic Mountaineering Course to be organized at Kathmandu and Manang from 8th June to 21st July 2018. There are total 45 students including 1 foreigner. In the same program, NMA also distributed the certificate to the participant of Mountain Leadership Training component II 2018, Mountain Leadership Component III-2018 (winter Component) and high mountain Rescue Training 2018.
