NMA President, Mr. Ang Tshering Sherpa and Treasurer Mr. Tikaram Gurung departed on 7th June 2016 to Chengdu, China to participate in UAAA Council Meeting, which will be held from 8-10 March 2016 and hosted by China Mountaineering Association. NMA's 1st VP; Mr. Santa Bir Lama, board members; Mr. Hari Prasad Shrestha and other NMA family members see them off at NMA secretariat.

NMA 37 Basic mountaineering Course Participant Name List published -9 June
NMA 37 Basic Mountaineering Course class will start from 12th June 2016. out of 91 applicants following students are selected for this course.

46 trainees and 12 instructors left for Manang today for 37th Basic Mountaineering Course 2016. The training started form 12 June 2016 and will complete on 21 July 2016. NMA officials gave them see off at its secretariat.

Clean up campaign at Everest and Lhotse Base Camp
On the occasion of Mt. Lhotse Diamond Jubilee Celebration Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) in partnership with Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee (SPCC) organized a cleanup campaign at Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse Base Camp from 13th to 2oth June 2016.

Completion of Monsoon Madness Lead Climbing Competition -25 June 2016
Nepal Mountaineering Association organized Monsoon Madness Lead Climbing Competition to promote sport climbing activities in Nepal. The competition was held on 25th June 2016 at Astrek Climbing Wall, Thamel.

Mr Sudershan Prasad Dhakal, Directer General for Department of Tourism was the chief guest. In this competition, there were 25 male participants and 13 female participants and result of the program is as follows.

Completion of 9th meeting of Nepal-Tibet Joint Tourism Coordination Committee Meeting

9th meeting of Nepal-Tibet Joint Tourism Coordination Committee Meeting between Government of Nepal and Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) of People’s Republic of China was held in Kathmandu from June 25-29 2016. During this meeting Nepali delegation team was led by Mr, Sudarshan Prasad Dhakal, Director General of Department of Tourism and the Chinese delegation team was led by Mr. Ga Ma Ze Deng, Vice Director General of the Tibet Tourism Development Committee. This meeting was concluded after the both team signed a 16- point MOU.
