Congratulation to Pancha Maya Tamang - 3 July 2017

NMA organized a flag handover program on 3rd July 2017 at NMA to the participants of Asian Youth Athletics Championships that was held at Singapore from 5th to 9th July 2017. Panchamaya Tamang, Swostika Chaudhary, Venisha Rajbahak and Pemba Sherpa participated in this competition. Panchamaya Tamang, stood 3rd position in this Competition.

Declaration of Election - 12 July

NMA Executive Board meeting on 12 July 2017 declared NMA Executive Board Election on 5 August 2017 for General Members and 6 August 2017 for summiteers and workers of mountain tourism at Star venue, Naxal.

Welcome program - 12 July

Nepal Mountaineering Association organized Welcome program for the Newly Elected Mayor, Deputy Mayor, different Ward Presidents and Ward Members of ward no. 1 Kathmandu Metropolitan City on 12 July 2017 at Hotel Yatri, Thamel. This program was organized in presence of NMA Executive Board Members, NMA Advisor and other members of NMA.

MOU signed between NMA & TAAN - 18 July

MOU signed between Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) and Trekking Agency Association of Nepal (TAAN) for Research Visit on Base Camp of Open Mountains but not climbed.

Sanjay Pandit's body cremated - 27 July

The body of Sanjay Pandit, a 29 year old Nepali mountaineer and ultra runner's died at Mount Denali, North America was brought to Nepal on 25th July Wednesday. He died at Mt.Denali due to high altitude sickness 45 days ago. Pandit who is hailed from Salyan, had climbed several mountains including Mt. Everest, Manaslu, Kilimanjaro, Elbrus. Right Hon'ble Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba honoured him with the national flag at the National Sports Stadium. His body was cremated in Pyuthan.
