Completion of NMA Mountain Leader Course-2016

Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) successfully organized NMA Mountain Leader Course-2016 from 7-21 July 2016 at Kathmandu and International Mountaineer's Memorial Park, Kakani. There were total 16 participants and Mr. Tulsing Gurung co-ordinate this training successfully. This training course covered following topics:

1. Safety

2. Leading Group

3. Orientation and Navigation

4. Basic knots and rope use

5. Culture and Religion

6. Mountain Meteorology

7. First Aid

8. Flora & Fauna 

 

Completion of 37th NMA Basic Mountaineering Course-2016

Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) successfully organized 37th Basic Mountaineering Course-2016 from 12th June -21 July 2016 at Kathmandu and Manang. There were total 46 participants in the training.

Flag handover program

Nepal Mountaineering Association organized a flag handover program to Kanjiroba and Tobsar peak Exploration team on 6th July 206 at NMA Secretariat. Team members for Kanjiroba Himal Exploration Team are Ashok Kumar Tamang (Team leader), Sanjib Gurung, Chandra Bikram Shahi, Resham Shahi, Dhurba Bista and Riten Jangbu Sherpa and team members for Tobsar Peaks Exploration team are Sunar Bahadur Gurung ( Team leader), Iman Gurung and Anup Gurung. 

Presentation on Mountain Tourism-27 July 2016

NMA team led by its President Ang Tshering Sherpa at Industrial Security at Armed Police Force Command and Staff APF) College, Sano Gaucharan for the presentation on mountain tourism for the students of Master of Security, Development and Peace Studies (MSDP).
