Chekigo Peak Cleaning Campaign- 8 July

NMA in coordination with Mt. Everest Summiteers' Club started Chekigo Cleaning Campaign from 8 July 2012. The cleaning team of eight members is led by Mr Phurba Namgyal Sherpa.

NMA monitoring team for Rolwaling region- 12 July

NMA General Secretary Deebas Bikram Shah led the monitoring team of Secretary Diwas Pokhrel and Member B. B. Thapa for Rolwaling region to monitor two projects- porter shelter and toilet initiated under the financial assistance of NMA from 12 July - 19 July 2012. Mt. Everest Summiteers' Club were shouldered responsibility to work on these projects.

Joint Expedition to Mt. Kamet- 12 July

NMA recommended three Everest summiteers Mr. Nima Gombu Sherpa, Mr. Pemba Dorjee Sherpa and Ms. Pema Diki Sherpa for Joint Expedition to Mt. Kamet. The expedition is going to be organized by Indian Mountaineering Foundation.

Computerized ticket at IMM-16 July

Entrance ticket for International Mountain Museum has been computerized with effect from 16 July 2012.

Basic Mountaineering Course completed- 25 July

NMA's regular annual program 33rd Basic Mountaineering Course 2012, which started from 12 June 2012 completed on 25 July 2012. The training of 44 days was conducted at Kathmandu and Manang for 42 trainees including 6 foreigners. Mr. Pasang Tenzing Sherpa was deputed as chief instructor for the training and Central Secretariat Member of NMA- Mr. Lhakpa Norbu Sherpa supervised the training. Observer from Alpine Club of Slovenia Mathej Sherki and UIAA representative Steve Long also were also present during the training.
