27th Advance Mountaineering Course-3 January 2019
Nepal Mountaineering Association's (NMA) annual training program 27th Advance Mountaineering Course was conducted in Kathmandu and Langtang from 21 Dec 2018….. 28 trainees including one foreigner participant from Mongolia are participating in the training program, which will complete on 25 Jan 2019. The trainees and instructors left for Langtang on 3 Jan 2019 and they were given warm see off by Ist Vice President Deebas Bikram Shah, General Secretary Kul Bahadur Gurung, Secretary Tikaram Gurung and other board members. High Mountain Rescue Training-3 January 2019The participants of High Mountain Rescue Training left for Langtang on 3 Jan 2019. The training is jointly organized by Nepal Mountaineering Association and Nepal Mountaineering Instructors' Association (NMIA) from 31 Dec 2018 to 19 Jan 2019. Ist Vice President Deebas Bikram Shah, General Secretary Kul Bahadur Gurung, Secretary Tikaram Gurung and other board members saw off the participants in the special program organized at NMA premises. Completion of 6th Park Young Seok Open Climbing Competion-20th Jan 2019NMA in Coordination with Park Young Seok Foundation is organized 6th Park Young Seok Open Climbing Competition on 19th and 20th January 2019 at Himalayan Climbing & Mountaineering School. Dr. Harka Gurung Parbatiya Puraskar Handover CeremonyNepal Mountaineering Association organized Dr. Harka Gurung Parbatiya Puraskar Handover Ceremony on 20th January 2019 at Hotel Yak & Yeti, Durbarmag, Kathmandu. General Secretary of Nepal Mountaineering Association Mr. Kul Bahadur Gurung Conducted the program. Hon'ble Minister for Culture Tourism and Civil Aviation Mr. Rabindra Adhikari was the chief guest for the program. Mr. Krishna Prasad Devkota, Secretary for Ministry of Culture Tourism and Civil Aviation, Director General of Department of Tourism Mr. Danduraj Ghimire, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Mr, Park young Sik, high level government officials, representatives from different tourism related organization, President of UAAA Dr. Inn Jeong Lee, General Secretary of UAAA Ms. Christine Pae, Chairman of National Unification Advisory Council and Former Ministry Mr. Deog Ryong Kim along with other high level delegates of Korean and Executive Board Members of NMA were present during the program. The program observed one minute silence in the memory of the demise of all national and international mountaineers. In the program, Chief Guest and Ms. Himchhuli Gurung, daughter of late Dr. Harka Gurung awarded Dr. Harka Gurung Mountaineering Award to Dr. Inn Jeong-Lee for his effort in promoting and development of tourism in Nepal. After distribution of Dr. Harka Gurung Mountaineering Award,President of UAAA Dr. Inn Jeong Lee gave away PilotD'or Asia Award to NMA Executive Board Member, Mr. Mingma David Sherpa for his achievement in the field of mountaineering. At the same program Mr. Lee also donated US$ 5000 for the development of International Mountaineering Museum (IMM). The Chief Guest handed over the token of love to Chairman of National Unification Advisory Council and Former Ministry Mr. Deog Ryong Kim. This program was concluded by the remarks of the chief guest Hon'ble Rabindra Adhikari, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation. |
