Flag handover to Mingma David Sherpa- 11 April NMA handed over NMA flag to its Executive Board Member Mingma Daiv Sherpa on 10 April 2018 at NMA Secretariat. Mr. Sherpa is leaving on 11 April for his expedition to Mt. Everest. NMA Secretary Tikaram Gurung, Treasurer Sudershan Neupane, Executive Board Member Tulsi Gurung Chief Administrative Officer Jinesh Sindurakar were present during the program Flag handover to Maya Sherpa- 11 April NMA handed over NMA flag to its 2nd Vice President Maya Sherpa on 11 April 2018 at NMA Secretariat. Ms. Sherpa is leaving for Kanchenjunga expedition. NMA 1st Vice President Deebas Bickram Shah, NMA General Secretary Kul Bahadur Gurung, NMA Secretary Tikaram Gurung, and NMA Treasurer Sudershan Neupane, were present during the program. Financial assistance to Ang Rita Sherpa-12 April NMA President Santa Bir Lama handed over the financial assistant of Rs 1,50,000 to the famous mountaineer known as Snow Leopard Ang Rita Sherpa for his treatment at his residence Boudha. Mr. Sherpa has the record of ascending Everest for ten times without the use of supplemental oxygen, hence he was given the title of The Snow Leopard. NMA General Secretary Kul Gurung, Treasurer Sudershan Neupane, Board Member Wonchu Sherpa, CAO Jinesh Sindurakar, Account Officer Megh Rah Ghimire and other staff Satya Narayan Roy were present during the program. 40th Anniversary of Austrian Everest Expedition 1978 The special program was organized to mark 40th Anniversary of Austrian Everest Expedition 1978 on 19 April 2018, Thursday at Nepal Tourism Board, Bhrikutimandap. The program was jointly organized by Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA), Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA). The chief guest of the program is Hon'ble Rabindra Adhikari, Ministry of Culture, Tourism and CivilAviation. Currently, All the eight legendary mountaineers are in Kathmandu for this special program. Members of Austrian Everest Expedition 1978: Acting Secretary of Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Suresh Raj Acharya and Chief Executive Officer Deepak Raj Joshi were also present in the program.
