Inauguration of Jugal Chapter- 1st April

NMA President Ang Tshering Sherpa inaugurated its second chapter NMA Jugal Himal Chapter on 1 April 2015 in the special program organized at Listi VDC, Chaggam, Sindhupalchok. Mr. Ang Tshering Shrepa, President of NMA was the chief guest and Mr. Ramesh Dhamala, President of TAAN was the special guest for the program. Mr. Deebas Bickram Shah- IInd Vice President, Mr. Thakur Raj Pandey-General Secretary, Tikaram Gurung- Treasurer, Dr. Hari Prasad Shrestha- Board Member of NMA, Mr. Sagar Panday- General Secretary of TAAN, and Ms. Devi Herachand- Board Member of TAAN, Jinesh Sindurakar- Chief Administrative Officer, Sama Shrestha- Secretariat Officer participated in the inaugural program. Jugal Himal Chapter is the second chapter of NMA after Annapurna Chapter, Pokhara. NMA President expressed his hope that the opening of chapter in Sindhupalchok will help NMA in conducting mountaineering related activities in this district. He also mentioned that in order for the change in the economic condition of the local people, tourism related activities should be increased in the village and assured cooperation from NMA for the smooth implementation of such programs. The 25-member working committee of Jugal Himal Chapter is led by President Lhakpa Thinley Sherpa.

NMA's involvement in workshop organized by Remote Area Development Committee– 5 April
Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) and Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) sponsored workshop organized by Rural Area Development Committee on 5 April 2015,Sunday at Park Village Resort, Budhanilkantha. In the workshop , Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Prakash Man Singh was the chief guest for the program. CA members from different remote areas, different associations' members and stakeholders participated in the interaction program. Chairman of Rural Area Development Committee is Hon’ble CA Member Bal Bahadur K C. On behalf of NMA, President Ang Tshering Sherpa presented paper on NMA's activities, projects, trainings, International Mountain, International Mountaineers' Memorial Park. He also informed that NMA is leading Peak Profile Preparation Committee to prepare profile of all the mountains of Nepal and requested for the cooperation in collecting information and photos of the mountains.

NMA's participation in 100 weeks celebration of Bagmati cleaning campaign -11 April
NMA executive board and its staff took part in the celebration of 100weeks of Bagmati Cleaning Campaign on 11 April 2015, Saturday.

Memorial Service Program conducted at NMA – 14 April
NMA organized memorial service program at its secretariat in order to tribute to all the mountaineers died on Everest due to avalanche that happened last year on 14 April. Suresh Man Shrestha, Secretary  of  Ministry  of  Culture, Tourism  and Civil Aviation was the chief guest of the program. NMA family i.e  board members, advisors, committee  members along with staffs and deceased mountaineers family attended the program.

Press conference organized at NMA – 21 April
NMA organized a financial assistance handover program to Mr. Kami Sherpa, a social worker for his expedition on Mt. Everest with the aim of supporting the orphans.

Peak Identification program (Tobsar Peak of Tsum Valley)-21 April
NMA in coordination with Tsum Welfare Committee is conducting its Peak Identification Program on Tobsar Peak, 6100 m in Tsum Valley. The main objective  of  this  program is to promote this unclimbed peak and the expedition  team  will  collect  detail  information with photo of the peak. The information will also be used by Peak Profile Preparation Committee, which is preparing peak profile of all the opened mountains of Nepal.

The expedition team is led by Co-convener of Training and Expedition and mountain guide Tulsingh Gurung. In  the  special  program organized at NMA Secretariat on 21 April, NMA President  Ang Tshering Sherpa and TWC President Nima Lama handed over them  the  national  flag  and  NMA flag to hoist on the summit of the mountain.
