Gasaikunda - Langtang Rasuwa Festival- 4 AprilGasaikunda - Langtang Rasuwa Festival is to be organized from 26 April - 2 May 2011 on the occasion of Nepal Tourism Year 2011 in order to display the various cultural and local products. NMA has contributed Rs 20,000 for the festival UAAA Council Meeting & UAAA Joint Expedition-- 8 AprilThe Council Meeting of Union of Asian Alpine Association is going to take place in Mongolia on 18 June 2011. Likewise, as per the decision of the General Assembly held in China in 2011, UAAA Joint Expedition- International Expedition, Altai- 2011, is going to be held on Mt. Great Mongolia, 4357m from 19 -30 June 2011. UIAA Management Committee Meeting- 8 AprilThe Management Committee Meeting is scheduled to be held in France from 12- 14 May 2011. The President of NMA, Mr. Zimba Zangbu Sherpa will participate in the meeting. Similarly, Mr. Ang Tsherng Sherpa, Immediate Past President will also participate in the meeting as a member of Environment Protection Commission. Interactive Workshop on Adventure Mountain Tourism Issues of Khumbu - 25 AprilTrekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) organized interactive workshop on Adventure Mountain Tourism issues of Khumbu region on 25 April 2011 as a part of Khumbu Tourism Festival organized on the occasion of Nepal Tourism Year 2011. NMA has decided to contribute Rs 50,000 for the program. Statue of Pema Doma to be constructed- 25 AprilThe statue of record holder mountaineer late Ms. Pema Doma Sherpa is to be constructed at Namche-3. She held the record for being first Nepali woman to climb Mt. Everest from North and South sides. NMA has decided to contribute the fund of Nrs. 7,00,000 for the construction of the statute. Late Pema Doma Sherpa Statute Amendment Committee fulfilled- 25 AprilThe Central Executive Board nominated the following personalities for Statue Amendment Committee formed under the convenorship of Mr. Phur Gyalzen Sherpa.
Organizing Committee formed-25 AprilThe Main Organizing Committee consisted of government officials and representatives from different travel related organizations for the General Assembly of Union of International Alpine Association and Union of Asian Alpine Association was formed under the patron of Honorable Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadga Bahdaur Biswokarma. The first meeting the committee took place on 25 April 2011 at Nepal Tourism Board. |
