Congratulation to Tourism Minister- 16 AprilNMA Executive Board Member led by President Mr. Ang Tshering Sherpa visited Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Mr. Prithivi Subba Gurung to congratulate him for his victory in recently held Constituent Assembly Election. NMA team leaves for route setting- 24 AprilNMA Executive Board Member Mr. Vijay Gurung led the team comprised of Executive Board Member Mr. Nawang Nima Sherpa and instructor Mr. Shree Maharjan and Mr. Krishna Gurung as route setters on 24 April 2008 for Lamjung on 25 days program to set tentative trekking routes of North East of Lamjung, Eastern Lamjung and Western Lamjung. Fourth National Robot Contest 2008- 26 May 2008NMA sponsored Best Idea Award for the Fourth National Robot Contest 2008 held on 26 May organized by Robotics Club, Pulchowk. Beijing Olympic 2008- 30 AprilNMA participated in a rally on 30 April organized by Nepal Sports Council and Nepal Olympic Committee in order to wish a grand success of the Olympic Games. The rally stared from Dasrath Stadium and ended at Hanuman Dhoka. Newly revised rates- 30 AprilGovernment of Nepal has announced heavy reductions on all the Mountaineering Peak Permit Fees for the permitted Himalayan peaks in Nepal. It is also great news for ambitious and aspiring mountaineers and climbers of the world by increasing access to some of the greatest mountains in the world. The revisions reflect a reduction of 50 % during the autumn season, and 75% for the summer and winter seasons including Mt. Everest effective from 16 July 2008. Nepal Government has also announced waiver of permit fees for five years from 16 July 2008 for all peaks in Mid-West and Far West Nepal. |
